The purpose behind my trip to Zambia had been to go out on the night drives, where, if you are lucky you see the big predators at their most alert. Having followed tracks for some time we were rewarded when we came across this beautiful adult taking on water. The beauty of this scene was only truly revealed to me afterwards with the reflections in the water as he drank despite the intense darkness of the night.
